A cooperative built where the growth is
Kigali is electrifying its motorcycle-taxi (“moto”) fleet under government policy. Demand for e-bikes, battery swapping and affordable housing is rising faster than supply — and cooperatives are a trusted, legally protected way for members to invest together.
Moto economy
Tens of thousands of motari riders power Kigali’s daily transport. E-bikes cut their fuel cost dramatically, so rental demand is strong and repayment is reliable.
Battery-swap boom
Ampersand swap stations replace a battery in 90 seconds. Franchise stations target ±3x ROI with 2–3 year payback in Kigali CBD and metro areas.
Land & housing
Kigali property values keep climbing with urbanisation. The cooperative buys, revamps and rents land and houses for stable, appreciating returns.
Seven revenue streams, one portfolio
Pooled capital of 1.126 billion FRW over 60 months is deployed across a diversified portfolio — no single venture carries the cooperative.
Member loans
6-month loans to vetted investors at 5% monthly profit — fast-cycling capital with member-level accountability.
Land purchase
Strategic plots in and around Kigali, held for appreciation and development.
House purchase
Residential property acquired for rental income and capital growth.
Commercial establishment
Shops and commercial units serving Kigali’s growing consumer base.
Charging stations
Ampersand battery-swap franchise stations — ±30% IRR, 2–3 year payback.
Bike workshop & fleet
E-bike rental fleet, spares and service workshop keeping the motos on the road.
Remaining 5% — house revamping & renovation for rental uplift.
50 electric motorbikes, earning weekly
The cooperative operates a mixed fleet of Ampersand Alpha, Wylex Roroship and Spiro M1 e-bikes — rented to motari riders at 40,000 FRW per week per bike, fully insured, taxed and permitted.

Ampersand battery-swap franchise stations
Every e-bike on the road needs charged batteries — and swap stations earn from the whole market, not just our fleet. The cooperative plans 5 franchise stations at 35M FRW each in Kigali CBD and metropolitan areas.
Requirements per Ampersand franchise terms: 60 m² ground floor, main-road access, 5-year commitment.
